Training Coordinator

At Hall's we're passionate about our role in delivering the finest of Kiwi food, and it's our people in depots and out on the road every day who work vigilantly to ensure the safety and freshness of the product we store or deliver. Our people drive our business, literally!

Whilst we aren't on the road, our team's energy and focus is on building health, safety and assurance performance and capability across our business units and in our chilled and frozen storage specialist business. This role will be critical in sourcing, coordinating and tracking training to support this.

A brand new role, your primary focus will be to coordinate and organise technical training, refreshers and onboarding for our driving and stores workforce. This role will also manage and report against HS, VTSA and MPI compliance requirements relating to technical skills training and licencing.

In addition to this, you'll be instrumental in:

  • Developing an annual training calendar that supports technical training needs
  • Designing and maintaining skills matrix which supports business operational and technical needs, competencies, personal and career development
  • Ensuring training material and aids are current and fit for delivery
  • Organising training events including venue, travel, accommodation and catering
  • Managing licencing and certification renewals and registrations
  • Developing monthly reporting on training completion and pass rates Developing and managing training databases

Once the foundations are in place, you will have the opportunity to take this role a step further and become hands on in the design and delivery of learning initiatives including instructional design.

So, to be successful, you'll need to be able to demonstrate the following:

  • A team player and relationship builder with a knack for getting things done.
  • A passion for setting people up for success.
  • Tech know-how and process champion.

A bonus would be an interest (and background) in designing and delivering learning initiatives with the ability to implement blended learning approaches.
