Food Safety Compliance Advisor South Island

Hall's is NZ's leading temperature controlled transport & logistics provider, servicing many of NZ's leading brands. We are a well-established Private Company with branches across New Zealand.

Based in Christchurch the Food Safety Compliance Advisor is a key support role in the food safety and quality assurance environment for the Halls Group Business Units. This role is responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of Quality Procedures and Processes for the Halls Group in the South Island.

 Key Responsibilities:

The key responsibilities of this role are:

  • Development, implementation and maintenance of policies, systems and procedures in the areas of Food Safety, GMP, Quality Systems and regulatory requirements  
  • Provide support to all Hall's Group business units in food safety initiatives, policies, strategies and meeting regulatory requirements.
  • Write Standard Operating Processes when required ensuring they comply with documentation control processes.
  • Provide technical support to the site management teams.
  • Complete gap analysis of procedures and processes within business units when required.
  • Support operations in gaining commitment and compliance in all areas of food safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Co-ordinate and carry out internal audits and ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented and reviewed.
  • Assist with external audits as required.
  • Manage NCRs for Hall's Business units allocated.
  • Develop effective training material (in conjunction with other Food Safety Compliance Advisors) and co-ordinate and deliver training as required.

What you will bring:

Together with your enthusiasm, energy and competence in Food Safety compliance you will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a food safety environment, with experience in writing policy, procedures and processes.

 You will also be a team player with a demonstrated ability to train, influence and motivate staff using your skills and ability to embrace technology.
